This is one of my favorite viewpoints close to home - named "Speedway" on Trail Forks, this is a fat bike (or mountain bike, or ski, or walk or wander) trail in the Campbell system that opens up to an incredible view of the Anchorage front range. I've been on it more times than I can count, and each time I stop in my tracks to take in the view. I think that's true love.
In this image, a December moon casts shadows on a newly fallen snow meadow bordered by the Speedway trail leading into the forest.
- Paper size: hand torn, approx. 11x14"
- Image size: 8x10"
- Limited edition run of 100: each print is signed, titled, and numbered
- Printed using oil-based archival quality, velvety black ink
- Two paper options: Natural Lokta and White Japanese Printmaking paper.
Lokta paper is an acid free, sustainable paper, handmade in Nepal, with gorgeous flecks of fiber and texture - due to the handmade nature, sizing is not exact!
White Japanese printmaking paper has a smoother surface, heavier weight, and straighter edges.

So perfectly captures the magic of a wintery Anchorage night. We have a lot of dark here so it's worth celebrating.
