Mountain Avens bloom on an alpine ridgeline while spring snow lingers in the shadows. This print was inspired by a sunny hike on Bird Ridge with the perspective of facing deeper into the Chugach towards Bird Ridge Overlook.

White Japanese printmaking paper is 11"x14" with straighter edges.
Hand torn, medium weight Lokta paper approx. 11"x14: due to the handmade nature of the paper, prints may not be perfectly centered.

Prints are individually inked and pressed using archival, oil-based inks. Lokta paper is a beautifully textured sustainable paper, handmade in Nepal with gorgeous flecks of fiber and texture. The Japanese printmaking paper is smoother, pure white and machine made. Each print is pressed by me resulting in unique variations from print to print, perfectly original.
