Ice slowly breaks apart across the surface of the lake - stubbornly refusing to melt despite summer sunshine. The vivid, turquoise water is a stark contrast to the gray + black moonscape of rocks and jagged peaks that surround it. I first hiked past this lake as part of a traverse in the Talkeetna Mountains of Hatcher Pass.

Prints are individually inked and pressed using archival, oil-based inks on beautifully textured Lokta paper. This is a sustainable paper, handmade in Nepal with gorgeous flecks of fiber and texture. Each print is pressed by me resulting in unique variations from print to print, perfectly original.
